ABOUT BEAU THOMAS

Beau Welding Natural Lighting.png
Bay Area Artist

I am a Morgan Hill, California native and a Bay Area artist and educator. My work grows out of the landscapes and communities I live in, with a focus on how art can hold memory, place, and shared experience.

Education & Background

I earned a BA in Visual & Public Art from California State University, Monterey Bay in 2019 and an MFA in Studio Art from Mills College in 2021. My graduate work was featured in Crystal Ball: 2021 Mills College MFA Exhibition at the Mills College Art Museum.

Creative Practice

My practice moves across public art, sculpture, painting, photography, and reclaimed materials, often centering environmental themes and community-centered projects that invite people into the process.
